Vehicle Story

This 1976 Ford Maverick 2-Door Sedan was repainted by its previous owner and gets its power from a 302ci V8 connected to a 3-speed automatic transmission. It comes equipped with the Stallion Group, chrome bumpers, Magnum 500-style wheels, power steering, and a radio with a tape player. Refinished in a two-tone combination of black and yellow over a black vinyl interior, this rust-free coupe is available now and comes with a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

According to the seller, the exterior was repainted under prior ownership and they believe the black and yellow color scheme is correct for the car. It comes equipped with round headlights, rectangular front turn signals, chrome bumpers, side marker lights, a black taillight panel, and dual exhaust outlets. The Stallion Group option includes a blacked-out hood and grille, black moldings in various areas, color-keyed racing mirror caps, and Stallion emblems.

The two-tone Magnum 500-style wheels are surrounded by Multi-Mile Grand Am Radial GT tires with raised white lettering.

The cabin features an all-black combination of vinyl front and rear bench seats, carpeting, dashboard, and door panels. Simulated woodgrain trim accents the 2-spoke steering wheel and door panels. Amenities include a remote driver-side mirror, manual crank windows, power steering, a column-mounted automatic shifter, and a radio and tape player. The trunk contains a floor liner and a spare wheel with a BFGoodrich tire.

Instrumentation consists of a gear selection indicator, 100-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and warning lights for various vehicle systems. The 5-digit odometer shows 82K miles, which the seller believes to be accurate.

Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 302ci V8 hooked up to an Edelbrock open-element air cleaner and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Braces connect the front shock towers to the firewall. The oil was changed earlier this year.
