Single-Family-Owned 1985 BMW 635CSi 5-Speed

This 1985 BMW 635CSi is finished in black over a red leather interior and is powered by a 3.5-liter inline-6 cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.  The car was originally sold in Germany and was imported by the seller's uncle to Hawaii where it has remained in the same family for 34 years.  Equipment includes a sunroof, fog lamps, BBS wheels, and Euro-spec bumpers.  This 635csi is now offered with a clean CARFAX report on a clear Hawaii title in the seller’s name.

The car was originally finished Diamond Black Metallic from the factory.  All metal is solid and rust-free, the whole car was professionally refinished in 2019.  The exterior features a sunroof, black side moldings, and a trunk spoiler. The front bumper is equipped with fog lamps as well as a chin spoiler. Polished trim runs around the car on the lower body line, extending onto the bumpers, while additional brightwork is used on the door handles, glass trim, mirror caps and grille surround.

Factory 16” 3-piece BBS basketweave wheels with BMW logo center caps are fitted to all four corners. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires are equipped all around measuring 225/50. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs.

The two-tone interior is fitted with red leather power-adjustable bucket seats up front, red rear seat, and red leather accents on the door panels. Black carpeting is complimented with matching dash, center console, door surrounds, and headliner. Amenities include power windows, mirrors, and door locks as well as air conditioning and cruise control. The original radio has been replaced with an upgraded head unit with CD player.

Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer along with supplementary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and other warning indicators.  The six-digit odometer reads 150k miles which is accurate and original to the car.

The 3.5-liter inline-6 cylinder engine is original to the car and utilizes a Bosch Motronic fuel injection and engine management system, giving it a factory rating at 182 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque. Recent maintenance includes replacement of the suspension and shocks, as well as the brakes and brake pads, all completed this year by an independent European specialist shop.  The battery was replaced this year as well.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag 260 5-speed manual transmission.
