This 1987 Chrysler LeBaron Premium is a two-door convertible showing 90,110 miles that received a recent repaint and is powered by a rebuilt, turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-4 paired with a 4-speed automatic transaxle. This LeBaron was sold new in Georgia and has resided in the same area since new, offering amenities such as woodgrain trim, a newer CD stereo, voice alerts, and power locks, mirrors, and windows. Refinished in white with a newer matching power-operated top over a blue leather interior, this third-generation LeBaron is now offered with receipts, a lifetime transferable paint job warranty, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
In 1987, Chrysler launched the third generation of the midsize LeBaron as a coupe and convertible on the J-body platform. This LeBaron from that year was repainted its original white in late 2021 at a reported cost of $3,500. According to the seller, the finish carries a transferrable lifetime warranty. The exterior also has contrasting black surrounding trim and a power-operated white cloth top that was replaced 3-4 years ago. Other features include hideaway headlamps, cornering lights, Turbo badging, chrome wheel arch trim, and a trunk-mounted third brake lamp.
Machined aluminum 15-inch wheels have been professionally refinished and are wrapped in new 205/65-sized Goodyear Assurance all-season tires. The brakes and shocks were replaced as part of a recent refurbishment.
The interior is fitted with blue leather bucket seats with matching colors for the center console, woodgrain-accented dash, and carpeting. Additional amenities include power windows, power door locks, cruise control, air conditioning, and a modern AM/FM/CD head unit. An Electronic Voice Alert system generates voice messages regarding vehicle systems such as lighting and door closure status.
Instrumentation includes a digital speedometer, a linear 7K-rpm tachometer, a digital clock/calendar, and readouts for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 90,110 miles, which is supported by the CARFAX report.
The turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-4 was rebuilt within the last 2,500 miles and received new gaskets, belts, hoses, and a new battery. The CARFAX shows additional maintenance in recent years including the replacement of the valve cover gasket, spark plugs and wires, oil pan, power steering hoses, turn signal switch, and window regulator in 2016. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed automatic transaxle.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record. The sale will include receipts and a lifetime transferable paint job warranty. The seller has provided two videos with additional details below.
