Vehicle Story

This 1964 Mercury Park Lane Marauder hardtop is powered by a 390ci big-block V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include bucket seats, air conditioning, power steering, manual brakes, and an original AM/FM radio with a rear speaker. The original owner’s manual and window sticker, a scale model kit, and other documents will be included with the sale. This Bittersweet Marauder with a black vinyl interior comes with a clear Minnesota title.

This 1964 Park Lane wears factory-correct Bittersweet paint and comes with chrome bumpers, a horizontal grille with quad headlights, full-length body trim, and triple taillights with integrated reverse lights. An original dealer sales sticker from Sam Wollard Motor Company is still attached to the trunk and verified by the original window sticker and other sales documentation included with the sale.

A set of original 14-inch black steel wheels wearing spinner hubcaps are wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

The bucket seats, matching rear seat, and door panels are covered in black vinyl, which corresponds with trim code 56 on the trim tag. Features include a center console with a 4-speed manual shifter, A/C, an AM/FM radio with a rear speaker, and woodgrain accents.

A 120-mph sweep-style speedometer and gauges for the oil pressure, alternator, fuel level, and coolant temperature provide vehicle information. The 5-place odometer shows 4,379 miles, but true mileage is unknown.

The power is provided by a 390ci big-block V8 with a reported output of 300 horsepower backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include power steering. air conditioning, gold valve covers, and a closed-element air cleaner.

This Marauder came from the factory with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. The dual exhaust system's chrome exhaust tips exit below the rear bumper. The seller notes that the power steering reservoir has a small leak.

The original owner’s manual, window sticker, dealer advertisement, and order sheet along with a scale model kit will be included with the sale.

Hello. On picture #8 and #14, it appears that the two front bumper corner pieces are bent outward, and not tight to the body? Also, cracked steering wheel? ..Nice car. It was my father’s first car. His had the same black bucket seats/console, with maroon exterior. He bought it used in 1969 but unfortunately the engine block was cracked.
