Vehicle Story

This 1972 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer 4X4 SUV was built in St. Louis, Missouri and configured with the Cheyenne equipment package, the CST Package, air conditioning, power steering, and a 350ci V8. Since then, the original engine has been replaced with an LT1 5.7-liter V8 that features HEI ignition, a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, and an electronic fuel pump, and routes its power through a TH350 automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case. Other upgrades include a Bluetooth-compatible RetroSound stereo with newer speakers, loop carpeting, an aftermarket tachometer, a roll bar, a new Softopper top, and 33-inch BFGoodrich tires. Finished in Light Yellow over a saddle vinyl and tan cloth interior, this first-generation Blazer is available now and comes from the selling dealer with instruction manuals, a carrying case for the soft top, and a clear California title.

The Light Yellow exterior is accented with chrome front and rear bumpers and metallic and woodgrain lower-body trim. Features include an egg-crate-style grille, front bumper over-riders, rectangular amber front turn signals, front and rear side marker lights, and a swing-away spare tire carrier. A new tan Softopper top covers the passenger compartment. The selling dealer reports the exterior is an 8 out of 10, but states there are imperfections such as paint chips, scratches, and touch-ups in various areas. Rust bubbles are present at the bottom of the doors.

The truck rolls on white wheels with Chevrolet-branded hub caps and a set of 33" x 10.5" x 15" BFGoodrich tires. A matching spare is mounted on the rear carrier.

Inside, this Blazer features saddle vinyl front bucket seats with tan cloth inserts, a matching rear bench, new saddle loop carpeting, a body-color dashboard with a reportedly crack-free dash pad, and body-color doors with dark saddle panels. Equipment includes manual window cranks, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, a center console, seat belts, a floor-mounted transfer case lever, a 4-point roll bar, and a Bluetooth-compatible RetroSound stereo connected to door speakers and floor-mounted 6" x 9" rear speakers.

Vehicle information is displayed on a gear selection indicator, 100-mph speedometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. An aftermarket tachometer is mounted to the steering column. According to the selling dealer, there are 50K miles on the odometer, but true mileage is unknown.

The upgraded LT1 5.7-liter V8 comes equipped with an HEI ignition system, an aluminum intake with a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, an electric choke, an electronic fuel pump, and a new air conditioning compressor. The engine delivers power to the road through a TH350 automatic transmission and a 2-speed transfer case. The power braking system features a dual-circuit reservoir.

Additional upgrades include tow hooks, a fuel tank skid plate, an exhaust H-pipe, and heavy-duty shocks. According to the selling dealer, this Blazer has not been lifted and fits into any standard garage.

Instruction manuals and a carrying case for the soft top will be included with the sale.
