This 1953 MG TD was repainted in 2015 and comes equipped with a 1250cc inline-4 engine that was refurbished in the mid-2000s and a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include driving lights, chrome bumpers with overriders, a trunk-mounted spare, a fold-down windshield, a manual cloth convertible top, and a 4-piece hood. This red TD with a new red leather interior installed in 2020 and a black top is available now and comes with a clear Maryland title from the selling dealer.
This steel-bodied MG was refinished in red in 2015 and features body-colored running boards, rear-opening doors, dual headlamps, a chrome grille with a body-colored insert, chrome bumpers with overriders, a driver-side mirror, a 4-piece hood, a fold-down windshield, a black cloth manual convertible top, and a rear-mounted fuel tank and spare tire.
A set of red 15-inch wheels with chrome MG center caps are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown redline radial tires.
The interior was reportedly redone in 2020 and features a split bench seat re-upholstered in red leather along with matching door panels, interior trim, and wooden dashboard. Equipment includes black carpeting, a floor-mounted shifter and emergency brake, road rally plaques, and an MG banjo steering wheel with a tan grip.
A 100-mph speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer with an integrated analog clock, and gauges for the amps, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted in a red wooden dashboard. The odometer currently shows 49,750 miles. According to the seller, the instrumentation is not functional at this time.
The power is provided by an XPAG 1250cc inline-4, which was reportedly refurbished in the mid-2000s, backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The selling dealer estimates 49,700 miles have been accrued since the engine was reconditioned.
This MG came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering, a solid rear drive axle, and manual drum brakes.
