Vehicle Story

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro restomod was reportedly built by the owner of SunCoast Speed over a span of 3 years and is powered by an LS1 5.7-liter V8 backed by a Tremec 5-speed transmission. Features include a custom-built frame and coil-over suspension by TCI, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, Kindig-it Design flush chrome door handles, power windows, power rack-and-pinion steering, a power convertible top, and air conditioning. This black Camaro with a black top and black leather interior is available now and comes with a clear Florida title.

During the 3+-year build process by the owner of SunCoast Speed in New Port Richey, Florida, this Camaro was refinished in black and equipped with color-keyed tucked and narrowed bumpers, new glass from Classic Industries, sport side mirror caps, chrome flush-mounted Kindig-it Design door handles, a trunk-mounted spoiler, RS hideaway headlights, and a steel cowl hood with SS trim.

A set of 18-inch aluminum Coys C-5 wheels with gunmetal centers are wrapped in low-profile radial tires.

The quad bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with black interior trim and full-length center console with 5-speed manual transmission shifter. Features include power windows, power driver seat, Vintage Air climate control with billet dials, Fesler USA aluminum interior door handles, black carpet with carpeted RS-logo floor mats, a black steel dashboard with a black top pad, an aftermarket Boss Bluetooth receiver with stereo speakers, and a chrome aftermarket tilt steering column topped with a 3-spoke aftermarket steering wheel. In the trunk, black carpet and custom-made black inner panels cover the rear-mounted battery.

An aftermarket 160-mph speedometer with a digital odometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are mounted in an aftermarket silver metallic panel behind the steering wheel.

The power is provided by an LS1 5.7-liter V8 backed by a Tremec 5-speed transmission. Features include a chrome air conditioning compressor, a chrome alternator, an aftermarket aluminum intake, a cold air intake tube, and a serpentine-belt accessory drive system.

This Camaro restomod features a custom-built frame and coil-over suspension by TCI, a racing driveshaft, and a Strange Ford 9-inch rear axle. Braking is provided by Wilwood 4-wheel  disc brakes. Additional photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.
