This 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Turismo Internazionale (TI) four-door is a reconditioned Italian-built saloon powered by a 1.3-liter twin-cam inline-4 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller reports it was previously in the possession of the owner of an Alfa Romeo dealership in Italy and was later purchased by a collector in 2016, having been garage-kept in Florida since then. Refinished in blue over a blue vinyl and gray cloth interior, this Giulietta is now offered by the selling dealer with Automobile Club D’italia certification, documentation, and a clear Florida title.
The original Giulietta model was introduced in 1954 at the Turin Auto Show and was available in saloon, roadster, and coupe body variants. A redesigned exterior was introduced in 1959 which featured a new front end, recessed headlights, and larger taillights. This Giulietta saloon from 1960 comes in Turismo Internationale trim and was restored and repainted in 2015. Exterior accents include chrome bumpers with guards, a three-piece grille, and bright window surrounds. The seller notes that there are some scratches and rock chips as shown in the photo carousel, including a small rust spot on the passenger door.
The Borrani 15-inch steel wheels are set inside of new 175/65-series Dunlop SP4 tires all the way around. The braking system was overhauled with new drums, lines, and hoses. The wheel cylinders, hubs, and wheel bearings have also been replaced.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered blue vinyl and gray cloth bench seats, complemented by matching door panels, and a blue dashboard with a black top pad. Features include bright trim, a glove compartment, and Giulietta TI identification across the dash and the steering wheel hub.
Instrumentation consists of a 180-kph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the coolant temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 90K kilometers (56K miles), although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 1.3-liter twin-cam inline-4 breathes through a rebuilt twin-choke carburetor and was rated at 74 horsepower when new. Maintenance history under the seller’s ownership includes a rebuilt starter, a rebuilt water pump, and a newer stainless-steel exhaust system. The fuel system was cleaned and flushed along with the installation of a new filter, fuel tank, and sending unit. While the VIN plate in the engine bay is not stamped, the chassis number and TI designation are confirmed by the title and certification from the Automobile Club D’italia. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 4-speed manual transmission.
The chassis has been undercoated, but the seller notes that there are some rust spots present.
The sale includes Automobile Club D’italia certification and documentation.
