This two-owner 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC luxury coupe has been driven 20,071 miles since new and features an upgraded Alpine sound system with a touchscreen display, remote control, CarPlay connectivity, and dual cameras. This final-year Mark VIII is powered by a 4.6-liter InTech V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and received recent maintenance to the alternator and the mass airflow sensor. Originally sold new in Austin, Texas and garage-kept by its original owner until 2017, this Mark VIII has spent the last five years with the seller, who describes it as being in mint condition. Finished in Ivory Metallic over a tan leather interior, this Mark VIII is now offered with an owner’s manual, two key fobs, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.
Launched in 1993, the Mark VIII was a unibody grand-touring luxury coupe with a four-inch-longer wheelbase and less weight than the prior Mark VII. A refreshed model was introduced in 1997 with more rounded fascias, an enlarged grille, an aluminum hood, and a brake lamp across the trunk lid. From the following year, this two-owner Mark VIII wears a coat of Ivory Pearl exterior paint. The exterior lighting systems have been upgraded with 6000K high-intensity discharge (HID) low beams, Phillips Xtreme Vision high beams, and 6000K LED front side marker lamps.
Cast aluminum 16-inch wheels are set inside of Michelin Defender tires with 8,000 miles accrued. The Mark VIII features a four-wheel independent suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars and a computer-controlled air suspension. Recent work includes the replacement of the control arms, new shock absorbers, and the installation of new polyester bushings in place of the original rubber bushings. The pads and rotors for the power-assisted anti-lock braking system were changed as well.
The cabin has six-way power-operated tan leather bucket front seats and a coordinating center console, door panels, lower dash, and rear bench. Amenities include power windows, power door locks, automatic climate control, heated power mirrors, cruise control, and an automatic power antenna. This Mark VIII has been pre-wired with RCA subwoofer cables and outfitted with a custom sound system consisting of an Alpine iLX-107 receiver with a 7-inch backup camera display, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a remote control mounted on the steering column. Additional features include Dynamat Xtreme sound damping material, an Alpine S-Series S-A32F four-channel amplifier, four-gauge OFC power cable with an inline fuse, Morel Maximo Ultra 602 component speakers for the front and rear, 12-gauge speaker wire, and front and rear cameras.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and an electronic message center with information about fuel efficiency, compass directions, and engine oil life. The digital odometer reads 20,071 miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.
The 4.6-liter InTech V8 received recent maintenance including a battery replacement in early 2022 and a replacement reinforced blend door actuator under the seller’s ownership. The alternator was replaced with a 225-amp replacement high-performance unit and an InTech cover and a new mass airflow sensor was installed. The CARFAX shows service in October of 2020 that included an oil change and a tire rotation. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed 4R70W automatic transmission.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
The CARFAX report shows a vehicle history that is accident- and damage-free. The vehicle passed a Texas emissions inspection in October of 2020. The sale includes an owner’s manual and two key fobs.

@andrewi – Three quick questions: Has the car been smoked in? What is the small unit hanging in front of the driver's rear view mirror? The car's story describes an awesome sound system, is this all after market, and if so, when was it installed, and by whom? Thanks, and so sorry to learn of your vision difficulties. ...
1) Has the car been smoked in? The car has never been smoked in. Neither myself nor my 93 year old at the time across the street neighbor who I purchased the vehicle from has ever smoked anywhere. Upon purchase, I even replaced the original cigarette lighter with a high power USB charger. 2) What is the small unit hanging in front of the driver's rear view mirror? The module attached to the center rear view mirror's bracket is the vehicle's electronic compass. On the driver's side of the rear view mirror, is a stealth 3rd-party Microphone for Bluetooth Calling and voice control of the Alpine Head Unit. 3) The car's story describes an awesome sound system, is this all after market, and if so, when was it installed, and by whom? The Sound System is all after market custom installed by a Mark VIII expert those from the Lincoln Mark VIII forums should recognize as Christopher S. Christopher also performed my many vehicle mechanical upgrades and enhancements. This link details more information about the Audio and Camera System. https://lincolnmarkviiilsc.godaddysites.com

@RussellDemor – Hello, It looks as if there scratches or scrapes on the right front bumper, the previous question addressed the dents on the right quarter panel, any other paint flaws on the body and does the air suspension work properly? Thanks for your consideration. ...
1) There is a slight mar on the right-side front bumper; 2) The only other paint flaw is a small door ding to the panel to the right of the driver-side door; and, 3) yes, the air suspension works properly like new.
