Vehicle Story

This two-owner 1961 Pontiac Ventura bubble top is one of 13,297 produced as a one-year-only body style. Power is provided by a 389ci V8 Pontiac engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, the original radio, power brakes, wheel skirts, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, and manual windows. This metallic champagne Ventura with a tri-tone dark brown, champagne, and cream vinyl interior is available now and comes with the original owner’s manuals, original license plate, and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

The rust-free body is finished in champagne metallic and features chrome front and rear bumpers, quad headlights with a split grille, driver- and passenger-side mirrors, rear wheel skirts, and dual taillights with blue dots.

A set of steel wheels with period-correct Pontiac hub caps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

The front bench seat, rear seat, rear interior trim, and door panels are upholstered in tri-tone champagne, dark brown, and cream vinyl. Features include copper carpet with tan carpet floor mats, manual windows, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, a column-mounted automatic shifter, a two-tone copper and champagne steel dashboard, and the original radio.

A 120-mph sweep speedometer and gauges for the generator and fuel level are mounted in a panel ahead of the driver. According to the seller, there are 57K miles on the odometer, but true mileage is unknown.

Power is provided by a 389ci V8 Pontiac engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, a closed-element air filter, stamped steel valve covers, and a generator. According to the seller, a new fuel pump and starter solenoid have been installed during their three months of ownership. In addition, the oil has been changed and replaced with synthetic oil.

This Pontiac came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle on a perimeter frame.

The original owner’s manuals and license plate are included as part of the sale.
