Vehicle Story

This 1968 Chevrolet C10 is a frame-off restoration with 12 miles on it. It is powered by a 5.3-liter LS V8 backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. Features include new sheet metal, new glass, new wheels and tires, a relocated fuel tank, a shaved tailgate latch, a rear roll pan, power brakes, and power steering. This Hot Rod Black C10 Fleetside short-bed truck with a late-model black leather interior is available now and comes with service and restoration receipts and a clear Missouri title in the seller's name.

This truck received all-new sheet metal during the frame-off restoration and was refinished with SEM Products Hot Rod Black six months ago. Features include new glass, a Boyd Welding fuel tank relocated below the bed, a reversed tailgate latch with a shaved exterior tailgate handle, a rear roll pan, shaved marker lights, a shaved cab fuel filler, a smoothed cowl with a wiper delete, oak bed slats with a charred finish and polyurethane topcoat, powder-coated bed trim and hardware, and a fuel cap mounted in the floor of the cargo box

A set of new 5-spoke 20" x 8" wheels are finished in matte black and wrapped in new 275/40/ZR20 Vercelli radial tires.

The late-model bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and all of the interior sheet metal is finished in matte black to match the exterior of the truck. Features include integrated 3-point seat belts, manual windows, one-piece door glass, a black steel dashboard with a black vinyl top pad, an aftermarket tilt steering column with a 4-spoke billet aluminum steering wheel, Dynamat insulation, black carpet, and a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter.

A non-operational 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature are mounted in an aftermarket panel ahead of the driver. According to the seller, there are 500 miles on the odometer, 12 of which have been added since the restoration was completed. True mileage is unknown.

Power is provided by a 5.3-liter LS V8 backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. Features include a shaved firewall with aftermarket hood hinges, fuel injection, power steering, and a fresh air intake. According to the seller, the engine has 40K miles on it.

The original front independent suspension has been updated with tubular CCP control arms with a 5-inch drop and the rear end with 3.73:1 gearing has received a 7-inch drop. Stopping power is provided by power front disc brakes and rear drums.

Service and restoration receipts are included with the sale.

@RobB – So this is a “frame off restoration” with 12 miles on it and the Speedo doesn’t work?!?! ...

The spedo counts miles , lights up , and shows a speed, it's just not calibrated to the vehicle, so the speed isn't correct, probably off by 10mph. Thanks for the comment.
