Vehicle Story

This 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has been driven 56,000 miles since new and is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It was sold to its first owner in Fort Wayne, Indiana in August 2009 and remained in that area until being relocated to Kentucky in 2021. Upgrades include BBK ceramic-coated headers, a newer clutch, an upgraded rear suspension, a carbon-fiber driveshaft, and Nitrous Express nitrous oxide. Finished in Kona Blue with silver accent striping over a black and gray two-tone leather interior, this GT500 is now offered with a CARFAX report and clear Kentucky title in the seller’s name.

Going into the 2010 model year, the Mustang Shelby GT500 performance model received a redesign with new fascias, vents, and a rear spoiler with a Gurney flap. This GT500 coupe comes in Kona Blue with silver accent striping. The seller has garage-kept the car since taking ownership in early 2021. Features include HID headlights, fog lamps, a vented hood, a decklid spoiler, Shelby-specific badging, and dual exhausts.

Black aluminum 19-inch wheels are staggered in width. Stopping power comes via four-wheel discs with upgraded carbon graphite pads that have 6,000 miles on them. The seller notes that the rear suspension has been upgraded.

The 2+2 cabin is fitted with two-tone black and gray leather bucket front seats, matched to the door panels, console, dash, carpeting, and rear seats. The steering wheel and seatbacks have Shelby-specific design elements. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a Shaker audio system.

Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, an SVT-branded 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges showing the coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 56K miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.

The supercharged 4-valve 5.4-liter V8 has been upgraded with a 900mm idler pulley, iridium spark plugs, an oversized aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, BBK 1.75-inch ceramic-coated headers, and a Nitrous Express system that was reportedly used a few times by the previous owner. The seller reports that two degrees of timing were pulled for a 50 shot of nitrous oxide. Power is estimated at 545 wheel horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque without nitrous and 590 wheel horsepower and 665 lb-ft of torque with it. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission, a carbon-fiber driveshaft, a new clutch with a steel flywheel, and a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential.

The CARFAX report shows minor to moderate damage resulting from a collision in June of 2021 with an impact to the front end. The seller has provided a video showing the exterior, interior, and engine bay of the car below.
