This two-owner 1973 Ford Mustang convertible project car has been with the seller since 1979 and is powered by a 302ci Ford V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include air conditioning, power steering, a power convertible top, disc brakes, and an aftermarket radio with cassette. This Blue Glow (Code 3K) first-generation Mustang with a white convertible top over a blue vinyl interior is available now and comes with various uninstalled parts and a clear Texas title.
The body of this Mustang convertible was repainted 14 years ago in the original color of Blue Glow (Code 3K). The body has been in one minor accident involving the left rear quarter panel and drivers side mirror. All issues from this accident have been repaired. Features include color-keyed sport mirror caps, a replacement white convertible top with a plastic rear window, dual headlights with a new gray grille, a color-keyed front bumper, a chrome rear bumper, taillights with integrated reverse lights, and rocker moldings. According to the seller, all body panels are original except for the left quarter panel, driver-side mirror, trunk, and front bumper. The trunk lid has been replaced and does not currently match the exterior color. The seller will include the original trunk lid, replacement trunk lid, and many other uninstalled parts with the sale. The seller has posted an exterior walkaround video below.
A set of steel wheels with full Mustang hub caps is wrapped in Goodyear whitewall radial tires. According to the seller, the tires are three years old.
The front bucket seats and rear seat were originally covered in blue vinyl with cloth inserts. The driver’s seat has been reupholstered with a full vinyl aftermarket cover in a non-matching pattern. Features include blue carpet, blue vinyl door and rear interior trim panels, a blue dashboard with a light blue top pad, an aftermarket radio with a cassette player, factory air conditioning, a floor-mounted 3-speed automatic shifter, power steering, and manual windows. The original rear interior trim panels show cracks, have holes for aftermarket speakers, and are missing the window cranks. The driver-side interior rocker sill is not present. The original convertible boot is included as part of the sale.
According to the seller, the odometer reads 49,264 miles but has rolled over once.
Power is provided by a 2-barrel 302ci Ford V8 and backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Features include factory air conditioning, power steering, a Holley 2-barrel carburetor and intake, and stamped steel valve covers with “Powered By Ford” embossed logos. The seller states that the engine and transmission were pulled and cleaned two years ago. The heads are reportedly original to the car, but the new short block is not numbers-matching. New valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, and air conditioning hoses have been installed. This Mustang has been garaged since 2000, has not been driven in two years, and is currently not running.
This unibody Mustang convertible was originally equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Stopping power is provided by front disc brakes and rear drums. According to the seller, there is evidence of rust on the underbody.
The original trunk lid, replacement trunk lid, and various other uninstalled parts are included with the sale of the vehicle.

Hi. Do you have pictures of the rust in the frame? Anything that shows the extent would be helpful. Thank you.
BID: $3,500
@rams0044 – you state that the mustang has been garaged since 2000 and currently not running. but you state in an answer to one of the questions asked that it runs fine? i am confused? ...
It runs now because we have cleaned/tuned up the engine to get it running and out of the garage. But it hasn't been actively used in two years prior to that.
