This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a carbureted small-block V8 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include manual brakes, manual steering, a Wonderbar AM radio, and a clock. This red C1 Corvette with a red vinyl interior comes with a clear title from the selling dealer.
The exterior of this convertible Corvette is finished in red with white coves. Features include quad headlights, split chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, and dual taillights.
A set of red steel 15-inch wheels with full Corvette hub caps is wrapped in 215/75 Firestone whitewall radial tires.
The bucket seats and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl. Features include manual windows, a floor-mounted 4-speed shifter, red carpet, a red dashboard with a red vinyl top pad, a Wonderbar AM radio, and a clock. The carpet shows fading and discoloration from age.
A 160-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are mounted in a red panel in front of the driver. The odometer shows 5,135 miles, but true mileage on the car is unknown.
The power is provided by a Chevrolet small-block V8 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include a tach drive generator, cast iron exhaust manifolds, and a 4-barrel carburetor. The engine bay is currently in unrestored condition. According to the selling dealer, the car runs and drives well, but does need some form of restoration.
This Corvette came from Chevrolet's St. Louis factory equipped with an independent front suspension and leaf-spring-mounted rear drive axle mounted on a perimeter frame.
