Vehicle Story

This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a carbureted small-block V8 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include manual brakes, manual steering, a Wonderbar AM radio, and a clock. This red C1 Corvette with a red vinyl interior comes with a clear title from the selling dealer.

The exterior of this convertible Corvette is finished in red with white coves. Features include quad headlights, split chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, and dual taillights.

A set of red steel 15-inch wheels with full Corvette hub caps is wrapped in 215/75 Firestone whitewall radial tires.

The bucket seats and door panels are upholstered in red vinyl. Features include manual windows, a floor-mounted 4-speed shifter, red carpet, a red dashboard with a red vinyl top pad, a Wonderbar AM radio, and a clock. The carpet shows fading and discoloration from age.

A 160-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are mounted in a red panel in front of the driver. The odometer shows 5,135 miles, but true mileage on the car is unknown.

The power is provided by a Chevrolet small-block V8 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include a tach drive generator, cast iron exhaust manifolds, and a 4-barrel carburetor. The engine bay is currently in unrestored condition. According to the selling dealer, the car runs and drives well, but does need some form of restoration.

This Corvette came from Chevrolet's St. Louis factory equipped with an independent front suspension and leaf-spring-mounted rear drive axle mounted on a perimeter frame.

@RattleandSnap – @Rkhandan a couple of final questions with some repeat from below that I didn't see an answer to. Do the windows roll up and down? Is this the original engine/drivetrain? Lastly, is there any rust or is any of the underbody rusted through? Thank you ...

I am sorry for the delay in response the windows do roll up and down with the Kranks however they are unreliable as sometimes they fall off the track We have not been coded or check numbers on the engine or transmission however it looks like the engine has never been out of the vehicle wires would need to check on their own we are not representing it as a verified numbers matching car There’s nothing rusted through there is the normal surface rust I can probably be brushed off with a wire brush I am trying to upload undercarriage photos as we speak Overall this car is a great running great sounding vehicle that needs love it needs paint interior and just overall attention but then again it’s not $120,000 like the other cars
