This performance-upgraded 1984 Chevrolet S10 compact pickup harnesses power from a fuel-injected 383ci small-block stroker V8 paired with an NV3500 5-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch positraction rear end. Features include MSD ignition, a Pioneer Bluetooth-enabled audio system, Rallye wheels, and CALTRACS rear suspension hardware. Finished in red over a matching red vinyl interior, this custom first-generation S10 is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Pennsylvania title.
The compact S10 pickup truck first went on sale for model year 1982 using the GMT325 platform, borrowing architecture from outgoing General Motors H-body subcompact models of the time. This S10 2WD regular-cab from 1984 was repainted red and features chrome accents for the bumpers, headlight bezels, billet grille, and wheel arch moldings. Additional body treatment includes a cowl hood, a black vinyl tonneau cover, a steel rear rollpan, and black embossed tailgate lettering.
Silver 15-inch steel Rallye wheels with polished Chevrolet-branded center caps are wrapped in Cooper front and Nitto rear tires. Driving is assisted by power steering and power front disc brakes. Structural underpinnings include CALTRACS rear suspension hardware.
The cab is fitted with a reupholstered red vinyl bench seat, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include tinted windows and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/MP3 head unit. The FiTech Fuel Injection control module for the fuel-injection system is mounted inside the drop-down ash tray.
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, auxiliary factory gauges, and an aftermarket Sunpro 8K-rpm column-mounted tachometer. In addition, a trio of aftermarket Sunpro readouts is mounted to the driver-side A-pillar. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 97K miles. The last mileage figure entered on the CARFAX report is 100,000 miles. True mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The upgraded 383ci small-block stroker V8 features a FiTech fuel injection system and an MSD ignition system. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted NV3500 5-speed manual transmission and a 9-inch Ford positraction rear end with a 3.50:1 axle ratio.
Several photos showing the condition of the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
The CARFAX report shows a vehicle history that is free of accidents or damage, with initial entries in Virginia followed by relocation to Pennsylvania in 2016 where the truck has remained since then. A $150 dealer fee will be added to the final purchase price. The selling dealer has posted a video of the truck below.
