Vehicle Story

Features include oak wood bed floor, newer carburetor, battery, tires, heater motor, heater core, water and fuel pumps, with manual windows, brakes, and steering. This green metallic 1966 Chevrolet C10 with tan vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Colorado title from the seller.

The exterior has been refinished in green metallic. Features include dual headlamps mounted in a white grill, white front and rear bumpers with rear step bumper, small rear window, oak wood bed with new metal mounting strips, dual taillights, and reverse lights. According to the seller, both front fenders, right door, front bed wall, and tailgate have been replaced with new sheet metal. The seller noted some slight hail damage on the hood and roof.

A set of black steel wheels are wearing year correct chrome dog dish hubcaps with red Chevrolet logo and newer radial tires.

The bench seat is upholstered in tan vinyl with an aftermarket cover.  Features include interior sheet metal, including door panels and the uncut dashboard with original knobs, refinished in tan, black vinyl floor covering, column shift manual 3-speed transmission, untested original radio, manual windows, steering and brakes. Additional photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.

A 100-mph sweep speedometer with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level, and warning lights for generator and oil pressure are located in a black and silver panel ahead of the driver.

The power is provided by a 250ci inline 6-cylinder engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Underhood features include a newly replaced battery, heater motor, heater core, carburetor, and water and fuel pumps. The seller noted that the oil pan gasket will need to be replaced. A cold start video is available for viewing.

Are the paint cracks on the roof of the truck and was there bondo used underneath? - The cracks are one the top of the roof. There was some fiberglass and mesh used on the floor. When was is painted? - Around 2004 or 2005 Please characterize how it runs and how you know the mileage is correct. - It runs well. I can't verify the mileage but I believe it to be correct as the previous owner told me it was a farm truck in Oklahoma that belonged to his father in law. He said it got alot of work and wear but not alot of miles. Has the motor ever been rebuilt - the engine was replaced by the previous owners father line law . I dont have any other knowledge than that. It's not a newer motor and has an oil pan leak. Clutch replaced or transmission rebuilt? - I don't know but I don't believe so. I have never had any work done on those. Have you done the restoration work and has it always been in CO? - I replaced the body parts and had a guy from Craigslist do the fine bodywork and paint it. Is the tan vinyl new under the seat covers. - no I believe it's the original

@Healey66 – Is the vehicle currently licensed and used on public roads? I don't see any exterior mirror(s). In my area this would not be allowed to drive on public roads. Are they just not mounted or do you not have them? ...

Yes. It is licensed and I drive it on the public roads but very infrequently. The reason that it does not have a mirror on the driver's side is because I tuck it as close as possible into my garage to preserve as much room as possible, and the stock mirror is a static stainless steel mirror and I don't want to tear it off trying to get as close to the garage door as possible. I have that mirror and the post that it mounts to (brand new in the box) and it will be included with the truck. There are already three screws in the door for it to mount to. Thanks.
