2001 BMW M Coupe 5-speed

This 2001 BMW M Coupe is finished in Black Sapphire over a Dark Oregon Beige leather interior and is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 6-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.  As one of 17 in this particular color combination, the car was originally sold new in northern California and subsequently spent time in New York, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Vermont before being relocated to Massachusetts where the car currently resides.  Equipment includes 5-spoke wheels, dual exhaust, Harman Kardon audio system, and a glass sunroof.   Located in Kingston, Massachusetts, this coupe is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean CARFAX report on a clear Massachusetts title.

Finished in Black Sapphire Metallic, the car retains its original paint with no previous accidents or damage. Fender-mounted functional vents are located on both sides, and the hood’s kidney grilles are chrome-outlined. The M Coupe features wider rear fenders to accommodate larger wheels as well as an opening rear hatch to access the cargo area. "M" badges are located on the rear hatch and fender vents. Additional features include clear side marker lights and front turn signals, body-colored mirror housings and vents, and carbon fiber print paint protection film on the front of the quarter panels.

The car retains the factory 5-spoke alloy wheels finished in silver with BMW center caps, the front wheels measure 17"x7.5" while the rears are 17"x9". The wheels are wrapped in Falken Ziex ZE612 tires, measuring 225/45 in the front and 245/40 in the rear. Braking is provided by power disc all around and the suspension has been upgraded with Koni shocks, TC Kline springs, and camber plates.

The factory Dark Oregon Beige interior is fitted with heated bucket seats upholstered in Nappa leather with patterned inserts.  Options include a leather-wrapped sport wheel, power windows & mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, and a Harmon Kardon Audio system with rear subwoofer. The center console is wrapped in leather and houses the shifter for the 6-speed manual transmission with leather knob and boot with a polished trim plate.

Instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature.  Additional gauges providing readouts for oil temperature and exterior air temperature are housed within the center console along with an analog clock.  The digital odometer reads 68k miles, of which about 1k miles have been in the last 5 years.

The S54 3.2-liter inline-6 engine is original to the car and was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque.  The car has undergone major servicing during the current owner's tenure, including the replacement of the rod bearings and more.  The most recent service was an oil change in October 2017, at the same time as it received a maintenance inspection and a check of the sound system and fluids.  Power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential. 

The CARFAX shows no accidents or damage reported.  Included in the sale is all service records from current ownership.
