This BS-code 1972 Plymouth Barracuda is powered by a 318ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include 340ci heads, a Slap Stick shifter, manual brakes, and power steering. The front suspension was rebuilt at a reported cost of $9,000. New parts include the brakes, shocks, wheels, power steering, radio, and speakers. This refinished red Barracuda with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear North Carolina title in the seller's name.
The exterior has been newly refinished in red. Features include lower front side spoilers, AAR-style black strobe stripes, wheel well moldings, rocker trim, chrome bumpers, chrome mirror caps, hood scoops, a rear spoiler, and a blacked-out taillight panel.
A set of staggered-width wheels with black spokes is wrapped in radial tires. A set of 15-inch Mopar Rallye wheels with correct center caps and trim rings is surrounded by Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.
The front bucket seats and rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include a center console with woodgrain accents, a Slap Stick automatic transmission shifter, a new radio and speakers, black carpeting, black door panels with manual windows, and a black vinyl dashboard with a black top pad.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and alternator. The mechanical odometer reads 29K miles but the true mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by a 318ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Underhood features include upgraded 340ci heads, a closed-element air cleaner with a 340 Four Barrel decal, an upgraded aluminum radiator with a chrome fan shroud, power steering, and manual brakes.
This Barracuda came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Stopping power is provided by power front discs and rear drums. According to the seller, $9,000 has been spent on rebuilding the front suspension. The brakes, shocks, and power steering are reportedly new. Additional undercarriage photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.

@linusparkcity – Beautiful car! I'm confused about your $9k suspension upgrade? What is the brand of suspension? Can u give us an example of what was the most expensive part of the suspension that cost so much? Is the flywheel cover missing because the of stripped or broken bolts that holds it or something that won't fit with flywheel cover in place? ...
The add is autogenerated from classic cars.com so I spent 9,000$ on all sorts of things not just suspension. Most expensive single component other than wheels and tires is borgeson power steering conversion and parts. The suspension had all bushings replaced and I put qa1 upper control arms on it and I replaced shocks and brakes. It drives much much better before it was like driving an old school bus on the interstate loose and floaty now it feels much more like a modern car. The flywheel cover is just a dust cover that actually collects more dust than not having it on so it has been off since I bought it, but im having one put on just for the sell but it is not a necessary component.

@indetrucks – @seller, beautiful car. While it's not original, it's very tastefully done and presents nicely. Do you mind providing a picture of the fender tag? ...
I think we talked in private but car does not have fender tag, but does have original dash vin plate and door tag decal that’s been cleared over
@chrisem – It’s true it does not have a flywheel cover, I redid suspension, control arms, bushings, brakes, power steering, shocks, wheels and tires I haven’t touched the drivetrain on her other than having deferential resealed ...
And a new gas tank
@statcorp – Why isn't the fly wheel cover plate in place? If you paid for front parts at $9000, you got ripped off! I am very skeptical of continuing my bidding. ...
