Vehicle Story

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible is a rust-free muscle car powered by a numbers-matching 350ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. It reportedly spent most of its life in Florida and comes with equipment including SS badges, air conditioning, Rally wheels with BFGoodrich tires, a positraction rear end, and a center console. Finished in red with a black power-retractable top over a black vinyl interior, this first-year Camaro is now offered with a clear Florida title.

Debuting in September of 1966 for the 1967 model year, the Camaro combined General Motors’ F-body architecture and a 2+2 passenger configuration. This Camaro convertible from that initial year was Florida-owned long-term and reportedly has rust-free panels that were repainted red with black accent striping. Features include a black power-retractable top, chrome brightwork, SS badging, a chin spoiler, chrome rocker moldings, a flush-mounted rear spoiler, and a dual exhaust system. Per the selling dealer, the repaint was applied a number of years ago and does have some imperfections. It is described as a very good driver-quality finish without rust or bondo.

Silver steel Rally wheels with polished trim rings and knock-off center caps are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.

The interior is fitted with black vinyl low-back bucket seats and a rear bench, matched to the door panels, center console, dash, and carpeting. Features include air conditioning, a tilt-adjustable steering column, a heater, a push-button radio, and an SS-branded steering wheel.

Instrumentation consists of a factory 120-mph speedometer and under-dash aftermarket gauges that include a 9K-rpm tachometer, an oil pressure gauge, a coolant temperature gauge, and more. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 98K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The numbers-matching 350ci V8 runs well per the seller. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console shifted 3-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt positraction rear end with 3.36 gearing. According to the seller, the transmission and rear-end are also numbers-matching.

The underside is described as rust-free and solid. Stopping power comes from four-piston power-assisted disc brakes. Steering is power-assisted.
