Vehicle Story

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was built in General Motors' Norwood Assembly plant in Norwood, Ohio, and has been garage-kept by the seller for the last 18 years. It comes equipped with a professionally built 350ci V8 bored out 0.004 inches that features performance upgrades such as a high-rise intake, racing camshaft, ceramic-coated headers, and straight pipes. Other equipment includes front and rear spoilers, Rally wheels, and power steering. Power is sent to the road through a Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox and the rear wheels. Finished in white with dual red stripes over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Camaro is available now and comes with a clear Minnesota title in the seller's name.

The white exterior is accentuated with dual red stripes on the nose, hood, trunk, and rear one-piece spoiler. It comes equipped with a black front spoiler, chrome bumpers, a black V-shaped grille with rectangular front turn signals, front and rear side marker lights, a driver-side mirror, and rectangular brake and reverse lights. Per the seller, the vehicle underwent a full restoration prior to his purchase in 2001.

A set of Rally wheels and radial tires connect the car to the road.

Inside the black vinyl interior is a pair of front bucket seats and a rear bench.

High-performance upgrades to the professionally built 350ci small-block V8, which has been bored out 0.004 inches, include a high-rise intake, a racing camshaft, ceramic-coated headers, and 2.5-inch straight exhaust pipes. A Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox and the rear wheels deliver the engine's power to the road.

The steering is power-assisted. Stopping power is provided by manual brakes with a dual-circuit master cylinder.

The seller has posted an exterior walkaround video that shows the car idling and being revved in the gallery to the right.

@StacyT. – Thanks for your quick response. I have reviewed the undercarriage pics you submitted, looks good. Have you had to replace any of the floor panels sheet metal? The frame appears to be quite solid. Also, any brake caliper upgrades or is everything bone stock? ...

No floor boards ever replaced while I owned it. Never seen any rust there as well. I have not done anything with the brakes in my ownership, so to my best knowledge they are standard brakes.

@jasonriz1 – The temperature sensor for the motor needs to be replaced and the speedometer works but it reports the speed slower than actual. Can you be specific on what you are looking for on underside? There are about 10 different pictures of underside of car but if there is a specific area I know I can go grab a picture this morning. Same with engine carriage. Rear deck spoiler was added in 2004 and trunk red stripes were added at the same time, otherwise it has not been repainted since being redone. Paint and body are very clean though as its always garaged and the dry Colorado air is great for old car bodies. It's been in Colorado since 2005. ...

@StacyT. – Do all the instruments in the dash work? Can we get better pictures of the undercarriage, engine bay, close ups of areas where rust would be expected on the body of the car, close ups of any paint flaws? Also, has the car been repainted since 2001? ...
