This award-winning 1970 Volkswagen Type 2 Westfalia camper received refurbishment during the seller’s ownership and is equipped with wood cabinetry, a table, a sink, and fold-out side windows. Work performed included the installation of a new pop-up rooftop with screens. Power is pulled from a mechanically sound rear-mounted 1.6-liter flat-4 paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle. Finished in two-tone blue and white over a modular interior with available sleeping, dining, and sitting configurations, this Westfalia is now offered with a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
This Westfalia camper conversion from 1970 comes with a new pop-up canopy rooftop with built-in screens. The two-tone blue and white exterior has rust-free panels, white bumpers, and a VW logo on the nose between the dual round headlights. The seller notes that the vehicle was recently awarded 1st place at a classic car show.
Steel 14-inch wheels with VW-branded bright hubcaps are wrapped in new tires.
The interior is furnished with reupholstered ivory and black vinyl low-back bucket front seats and a white vinyl rear bench. The dash and front flooring materials are black while the headliner has been redone in gloss woodgrain. The rear compartment, accessed via a sliding door at the passenger side, is equipped with wood cabinetry, a retracting table, a sink, curtains, and fold-out side windows. The far rear cargo area contains a padded cushion on the load floor, pillows, and a spare tire with a gray vinyl cover.
Vehicle information is provided through a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 37K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The rear-mounted 1.6-liter flat-4 is said to be mechanically sound, according to the seller. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transaxle.
The seller has provided photos of the underside in the carousel. Stopping is provided via four-wheel drum brakes.
