Vehicle Story

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Tribute is finished in LeMans Blue with black stripes over a black vinyl interior and is powered by a 396ci V8, paired with 4-speed manual transmission.  The car was restored as a 427 Yenko Tribute with the Yenko striping package, 427 emblems, cowl hood and Yenko logos on the headrests. In addition, numerous performance modifications have been added to improve power, handling and braking. Located in Alsip, Illinois, this Camaro is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean Illinois title.

Originally finished in LeMans Blue from the factory, the exterior retains its original hue and features correct Yenko style stripes on the rear quarters as well as on the hood. "427" badging has been added in the correct locations throughout the car along with the "Yenko" emblem on the tail panel.  Additional features include a black vinyl roof, color-matched lip spoiler, Yenko-specific lower front air dam, and raised cowl induction style hood.

The factory 14” Rallye wheels are finished in gray and equipped with polished trim rings and center caps and mounted to Goodyear Polyglas raised-white-letter tires on all four corners. Braking has been improved with power discs in the front and the suspension has been upgraded with traction bars in the rear.

The interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats with matching carpet and door panels, the headrests contain the Yenko Super Car (YSC) insignia in contrasting white.  A black console with woodgrain trim panel houses a polished Hurst shifter with a white knob for the 4-speed manual transmission and the original AM radio is retained in the factory location.

The factory gauge cluster sits behind a two-spoke wheel and includes a column-mounted 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer along with accompanying gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. and aftermarket under-dash gauges.  The five-digit odometer reads 32k miles, however, true mileage is unknown.

The car is powered by a 396ci V8 that has been badged as a 427ci V8. Performance has been upgraded with an aluminum intake, dual-feed Holley carburetor and headers. As part of the Yenko Tribute, a "427" label and horsepower callout sticker was placed on the factory style air cleaner and Yenko stickers have been placed on the chrome valve covers.  Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Muncie M-21 4-speed manual transmission and a Positraction equipped rear end with 4.10:1 gears.
