This upgraded 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS is accompanied by both hard and soft removable tops along with a number of accessories including skid plates, Bilstein shock absorbers, Hella auxiliary lighting, and more. Powered comes from a 3.9-liter V8 with newer head gaskets and is sent to all four corners through a 5-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case. It is reportedly one of 1,943 units imported to the United States for its model year, originating first in New York, residing long-term in Colorado beginning in 1995, and eventually being relocated to Nevada in 2021 where it is now offered by the selling dealer. Finished in Alpine White over a black interior, this Defender is now offered with literature, manuals, both tops, service records, an ARB tire inflator kit, spare keys, a fire extinguisher, an electrical tow harness, a rear cargo mat, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Nevada title.
This 1994 Defender 90 is finished in Alpine White and is accompanied by a removable factory fiberglass hardtop, Rovers North soft top, Bestop Surrey top, and other accessories. The exterior has been customized with black accents for the fender flares and other exterior trim, a Rockware front bumper with receiver hitch points, a Superwinch steel cable winch, Terrafirma rock sliders, and roof-mounted Hella 55-watt lights. The quarter panels wear protective diamond plate panels and the rear features a spare tire, an ax/shovel carrier, a custom two-inch hitch receiver, and taillight guards.
Aluminum 16-inch factory wheels use Scorpion spacers and are wrapped in new 285/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires at all four corners.
The interior is fitted with gray cloth bucket seats topped by sheepskin seat covers up front and a fold-and-tumble bench in the rear along with black rubber floor mats. Amenities include air conditioning, a Cobra CB radio, a Tuffy center console, an air compressor, and a Panasonic AM/FM/CD head unit with door- and rear-mounted speakers.
Instrumentation is comprised of a 120-mph speedometer, 6K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 116K miles, which is supported by the CARFAX report.
The 3.9-liter V8 received new head gaskets at 104K miles and was serviced in the last two years with new parts, which include the oxygen sensors, rear main seal, resurfaced flywheel, and fluids. In addition, the transmission case was re-sealed and the clutch was replaced. Upgraded equipment includes an Optima battery, cooling fans with an override switch, a high-torque cold-weather starter, and an NRP stainless-steel exhaust system. Service performed in June of 2022 included a 10,000-mile service, an oil change, a brake check, and an examination of the HVAC system. Power is fed to all four wheels via an R380 5-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
Photos showing the underside of the vehicle, which comes equipped with a skid plate, a Rovers North fuel tank guard, and a Safari Gard steering rod, swivel ball guards, drag rod armor box, differential protectors, and U-joint skid plate, are available in the carousel to the right. The suspension received new Bilstein shock absorbers as part of recent maintenance. The steering stabilizer, springs, and front shock absorbers were sourced from Old Man Emu. The rear uses a Rockware droop kit with Rancho 9000 shock absorbers. Both axles were replaced with Ashcroft alloy units and ARB Air Lockers.
The CARFAX report shows a vehicle history free of accidents and damage. The sale includes literature, manuals, both the hard and soft tops, an ARB tire inflator kit, spare keys, a fire extinguisher, an electrical tow harness, a rear cargo mat, and service records.
