This rust-free 1956 Morris Minor 1000 has been with the current owner for 30 years and was repainted in January of 2011. Its reportedly original 948cc inline-4 engine is connected to a 4-speed manual gearbox and sends power to the rear wheels. Features include chrome bumpers with over-riders and a modern JVC audio system with a CD player and updated speakers. Refinished in Burgundy Red over a beige vinyl interior, this Minor 1000 is available now and comes with receipts, restoration photos, and a clear Florida title.
Under current ownership, the exterior was repainted Burgundy Red 11 years ago. It comes equipped with chrome bumpers with over-riders, a bright hood ornament and body trim, a black driver-side mirror cap, matching window trim, and a single exhaust outlet on the driver-side of the vehicle.
The black wheels have chrome hub caps and come wrapped in radial tires.
The cabin is furnished with beige vinyl bucket front seats, a matching rear bench seat, body-color door panels with beige vinyl inserts, a body-color dashboard, and matching carpeting and floor mats. Features include manual windows, a banjo-style steering wheel, a floor-mounted manual shifter, modern speakers in the kick panels, and two glove boxes, one of which contains a JVC AM/FM/CD head unit. The seller reports the passenger-side window crank stops at the halfway point and needs to be fixed.
Vehicle information is displayed on a centrally mounted 80-mph speedometer and inset fuel gauge. The seller reports the mechanical odometer is accurate and shows 50K miles, half of which were added by the seller during their 30 years of ownership.
According to the seller, the naturally aspirated 948cc I4 is stock. It sends power to the road through a 4-speed manual gearbox and the rear wheels.
Additional photos showing the condition of the underbody are available in the gallery to the right.
Receipts and restoration photos will be included with the sale of the vehicle. The seller has posted a video in the gallery that shows exterior and interior footage of the car along with a road test.
AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 8/2/22 4:55 PM: Per the seller and user research, the vehicle year has been changed to a 1956 model. The owner will have the title changed to reflect the proper year.
