OVERVIEW
This two-owner 1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula coupe was produced in GM's Van Nuys Assembly plant in California. It has been upgraded with a VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) bypass, a replacement fiberglass rear spoiler, a ceiling-mounted console, and ceramic-coated SLP headers. The original automatic transmission has been replaced with a World-Class BorgWarner T5 5-speed manual gearbox, which sends power from the fuel-injected 5.7-liter V8 to the 16-inch rear wheels. Features include power windows, locks, mirrors, and trunk release; cruise control; a driver-side airbag; and air conditioning. Finished in red over a gray cloth interior, this 44K-mile Firebird is available now and comes with documentation, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Delaware title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The red exterior features Formula 350 and Firebird logo decals and comes equipped with black rubber front and rear impact strips, pop-up headlights, body-color mirror caps, a fiberglass reproduction rear spoiler with integrated third brake light, and dual exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver 16-inch wheels with WS6 center caps are surrounded by 245/50 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tires installed in 2016.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The gray fabric interior is furnished with manual front bucket seats, a pair of rear seats, cloth door panel inserts, and carpeting. The black dashboard connects to a matching center console from a manual-transmission Firebird to accommodate the upgraded transmission. Features include power windows, locks, mirrors, and trunk release; a driver-side airbag; a VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) bypass; an upgraded ceiling-mounted center console with a garage door opener; air conditioning with R-12 refrigerant, cruise control; and a period-correct AM/FM/CD stereo.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
Vehicle information is displayed on a 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the voltage and fuel level. The 6-digit mechanical odometer currently shows 44K miles, which is in line with the last mileage figure on the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 5.7-liter V8 is equipped with Tuned Port Injection, a new battery, and SLP ceramic-coated stainless steel headers. The factory-installed automatic transmission has been replaced with a World-Class BorgWarner T5 5-speed manual gearbox.
UNDERCARRIAGE
