Vehicle Story

This 1955 Ford Customline coupe is finished in a two-tone purple and white over a white vinyl interior. Powered is provided by a 352ci V8 engine backed by a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission with overdrive. Sold new in Washington state, the car has remained there throughout its life and was displayed in a museum since 1988. Features include functional lake exhaust pipes, fender skirts, spinner hub caps, and AM radio. A new battery was installed, along with the replacement of fluids and filters in anticipation of the sale. Located in Seattle, Washington, this Customline is now offered for sale on a clear Washington title.

Finished in Regency Purple over white, the body is rust free. The front end features a chrome bumper with bumperettes, while a chrome hood ornament and ford badge are affixed to the hood. The chrome grille features integrated turn signals with bullet-style bezels. The wrap-around front and rear glass are in good condition, free of any cracks and chips. Dual lake pipes are installed along the rocker panels and are fully functional, a full-length dual exhaust with chrome tips is equipped as well.

Steel wheels are equipped with chrome spinner hub caps and are wrapped in bias-ply whitewall tires. A full-size spare is shown in the trunk.

The interior features bench seats upholstered in white Naugahyde vinyl with purple piping. The door panels and headliner are upholstered to match while the dash is finished in purple, matching the exterior. Heater controls, an AM radio, and an analog clock are all housed within the dash, while the shifter for the manual transmission is located on the steering column and equipped with an 8-ball shift knob.

Behind the factory steering wheel sit instrumentation including a horizontal 120-mph translucent speedometer, along with readouts for fuel level and engine temperature. 92K miles are shown on the analog odometer, true mileage is unknown.

Under the hood sits a 352ci V8 engine was equipped with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The engine block, heads and intake manifold are finished in Ford engine blue while the firewall and inner fenders are black. Power is delivered to the rear axle through a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

@Alleycat – hello....does she drive ? no mention made of whether vehicle drives or not....hate to bid on a lawn ornament....any video ? any more info ? thanks, AL :} ...

Hello alleycat, the '55 Ford runs, drives, shifts, and stops very well and has been driven well over 100 miles while in our possession. The owner of the dealership personally drives every car we have for sale to ensure the highest quality control when it comes to our cars. We are in the process of having AutoHunter upload undercarriage photos as well as video of the car running. Please stand by for that.
