RESERVE REMOVED: 1965 DODGE CORONET 500

OVERVIEW

This 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 has been in the selling dealer's family for approximately 40 years and was repainted and fitted with a new interior 15 years ago. It is powered by a reportedly numbers-matching 318ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include power steering, manual brakes, manual windows, bucket front seats, a center console, and an AM radio. Refinished in metallic blue over a black vinyl interior, this Coronet is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear Ohio title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior was finished in metallic blue 15 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, a chrome grille, full-length bodyside trim, a trunk trim panel, and dual taillights with integrated reverse lights. The selling dealer notes a few small dings on the hood.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black steel wheels with full hub caps is wearing Firestone FT70 whitewall radial tires. The selling dealer notes that the tires look like new.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bucket seats and the matching rear seat were upholstered in black vinyl 15 years ago. Features include black carpeting with black rubber floor mats, black vinyl door panels and trim, a center console with an automatic shifter, a black steel dashboard with a black top pad, and an AM radio. Additional features include power steering, manual windows, and manual brakes. The selling dealer notes that the radio does not work.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer; gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage; and an oil pressure warning light are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 84,933 miles but the true mileage is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 318ci V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Underhood features include a windshield washer, a closed-element air cleaner, and a cast iron exhaust manifold. According to the selling dealer, a new carburetor, plugs, and wires were installed two years ago and a new battery was installed last year.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Coronet is factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A full-length dual-exhaust system exits at the rear. Braking is provided by manual drums. Additional underbody photos can be seen in the carousel to the right.
