This 1986 Audi Coupe GT is finished in Tornado Red over a black leather interior and is powered by a 2.2-liter 5-cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Purchased new from Terry Taylor Audi in Daytona Beach, Florida, the original owner has retained the car since new. Currently located in Yonkers, New York, the car has always been garage kept and maintained throughout its life. Equipment includes GT-specific aero treatment, power windows, air conditioning, and a digital instrument cluster. This Coupe GT is now offered for sale with the original window sticker, books, and CARFAX report on a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in its original shade of Tornado Red and features flared rocker panel extensions, protective bodyside moldings, and a black rear wing spoiler attached to the hatch. Halogen headlamps are equipped along with integrated body-colored bumper aprons for both front and rear. Additional equipment includes dual power mirrors, black tail panel trim, and a single exhaust with polish tip. The CARFAX shows an accident reported with another vehicle in April of 2000 with no additional information provided.
Factory 14” multi-spoke aluminum wheels are fitted to 185/60 tires on all four corners. The car is equipped with power disc brakes in the front and vented drums in the rear and uses a rack and pinion steering setup.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered black leather bucket seats with matching black door panels and carpet. The front seats are manually adjustable and equipped with open design headrests, while additional leather upholstered items include a sport steering wheel, shift knob, and boot. Other equipment includes tinted glass, red instrument lighting, passenger assist handles, door storage pockets, and remote trunk release. Air conditioning was standard on this model, as was cruise control. The carpeted trunk contains a space-saver spare tire and associated jack equipment.
Instrumentation with red illumination is housed within the optional digital gauge cluster. It includes a digital speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with readouts for fuel level, coolant temperature, fuel range, and a digital clock. The digital odometer reads just over 96k miles, which are original to the car.
The 2.2-liter 5-cylinder engine uses multi-point electronic fuel injection and was factory rated for 113 horsepower and 122 ft/lbs of torque when new. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The original window sticker shows an MSRP of $18,780, including destination and options. The sale includes a window sticker, spare keys, and assorted owner manuals and records.
