OVERVIEW
This retro-design 2004 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was restyled after a 1962 first-generation Corvette through the installation of a carbon fiber body from Classic Reflection Coachworks (CRC). Power comes from a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a power-retractable top, anti-lock disc brakes, and a Bose audio system. This fifth-generation Corvette was sold new from Win Chevrolet in Long Beach, California and was converted into its current state when it had approximately 29K miles. Finished in white with a black cloth top over a two-tone black and white leather interior, this modified C5 Corvette is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Virginia title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
The white carbon fiber exterior from Classic Reflection Coachworks features chrome brightwork, quad headlights, side coves, rocker moldings, a black power-retractable cloth top, and two pairs of polished exhaust outlets. In the gallery to the right, the seller has provided photos of the car before and during the modification process. A video of the top being lowered is available for viewing below.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
The split-spoke aluminum wheels are wrapped in Pirelli tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The two-seat C5 cockpit is equipped with power-adjustable two-tone black and white leather bucket seats that coordinate with the door panels, dash, center console, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose stereo, a head-up display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows, power door locks, and cruise control.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 200-mph speedometer, a 7,500-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 35K miles; the last mileage figure entered on the CARFAX report in June of 2022 was 36,892 miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was rated at 350 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque when new. The CARFAX report shows 16 service records including entries from a Chevrolet dealership in Ashland, Virginia in late 2021 and the summer of 2022. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from ventilated anti-lock discs with red calipers. Handling is aided by a traction control system and a four-wheel independent suspension. Additional photos showing the underside of the vehicle are available in the carousel.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report classifies this as an accident- and damage-free vehicle. It passed a Virginia safety inspection in June of 2022.
