OVERVIEW
This custom-built 1973 Ford F100 regular-cab pickup was restored and modified around 2012 to incorporate shaved door handles, a molded later-model grille, a tonneau cover, and a louvered rear roll pan. It receives power from a 460ci V8 paired with a three-speed C6 automatic transmission and a nine-inch positraction rear end, while interior appointments span a Grant steering wheel, a B&M ratchet shifter, and power windows. Finished in color-shifting metallic black over a blue cloth interior, this sixth-generation F-Series truck is now offered with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This regular-cab two-wheel-drive pickup underwent a frame-off restoration approximately 10 years ago and was repainted in color-shifting metallic black. Enhancements to the exterior include a color-matched front bumper, a molded 1978 grille, tinted marker lamps, shaved door handles, shaved mirrors, a tonneau cover, a louvered rear roll pan, and a dual-exhaust system. Per the selling dealer, a scratch on the hood has been touched up and there is a small crack on the tailgate (see photos).
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Aluminum five-spoke 17-inch wheels with polished lips are wrapped in Falken tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cab is fitted with blue cloth bucket seats and a fold-up center console with a third smaller center seat. Features include a B&M ratchet shifter, a custom steering column, a Grant steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, a dome light, power-operated door latches, tinted windows, and an AM/FM/CD audio system with six speakers. The tonneau cover lifts on hydraulic struts and shows the interior of the cargo area lined with a carpeted BedRug and equipped with a NOS bottle.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Vehicle information is displayed via a 100-mph speedometer, a column-mounted 8K-rpm tachometer, and factory gauges for the oil pressure, fuel level, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads just under 4K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The carbureted 460ci V8 with a NOS Powershot connection transfers power to the road via a floor-shifted C6 three-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit and a Ford nine-inch limited-slip rear end.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping is handled by power disc brakes at the front and drums in the rear. Additional photos showing the underside of the vehicle are available in the carousel.
