OVERVIEW
This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner has been with the seller for eight months and is powered by a 1973 440ci V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include manual steering, brakes, and windows. Refinished in orange with black hood stripes and a black vinyl interior, this Road Runner is available now and comes with the removed original headers and a clear Washington title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
Originally finished in Scorch Red, the body was painted orange with black V21 performance hood stripes under previous ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, a Road Runner hood with block-off panels and 440 call-out emblems, Road Runner emblems and decals, a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, and dual taillights. The seller notes a couple of paint chips, a scratch on the lower part of the passenger-side door, a slight sag in the driver-side door hinges, and flaking on the floor of the trunk.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of Plymouth Rallye wheels with chrome center caps and stainless trim rings is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The front bench seat, rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include black interior trim; black carpeting with black carpeted floor mats; a black dashboard with a black top pad; a digital AM/FM stereo; manual windows, brakes, and steering; and a column-mounted automatic shifter.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, 10K-rpm aftermarket tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. A pair of aftermarket gauges with readouts for the oil pressure and coolant temperature is under the dashboard. With 400 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 87,602 miles. The true mileage on the vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Originally built with a 383ci V8 engine, this Road Runner is now powered by a 1973 440ci V8 engine backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include headers, a performance camshaft, manual brakes, manual steering, black Mopar Performance valve covers and air cleaner, an aluminum Weiand intake, and an MSD distributor and electronic ignition. The seller will include the original headers with the sale.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Road Runner was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. A full-length dual-exhaust system exits at the rear. Manual brakes provide stopping power.
