OVERVIEW
This 1973 Chevrolet K10 4x4 pickup underwent a restoration that included the installation of a six-inch suspension lift, 35-inch Bridgestone tires, and performance upgrades for the big-block 454ci V8 powerplant. Power is transferred to all four corners through a TCI StreetFighter 700R4 automatic transmission, a two-speed transfer case, Dana 44 axles, and Detroit Lockers. Upgrades include Silverado trim, a CD sound system, air conditioning, and Autometer gauges. Refinished in Alpine White over a gray vinyl and cloth interior, this K10 is now offered with a clear Washington title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This 1973 K10 4x4 was restored under prior ownership and recoated in Alpine White. Exterior features include stacked headlights, a billet grille, black beltline moldings, a Chevrolet-branded tailgate applique, and a hitch receiver. The sliding rear windows look out to a cargo area that has been coated with a spray-in bed liner and is covered by a hard tonneau.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Polished aluminum wheels are wrapped in 35-inch Bridgestone Dueler tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The Silverado-trimmed cab is fitted with a reupholstered gray cloth bench seat, matched to the door panels, dash, headliner, carpeting, and floor mats. Features include a wood-rimmed Grant steering wheel, power windows, power door locks, tinted windows, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/CD sound system with speakers mounted behind the bench seat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Vehicle information is presented via aftermarket Autometer Pro-Comp gauges that include a 160-mph speedometer, a 10K-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 10K miles, indicative of the mileage accrued since the completion of the restoration. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The built 454ci big-block V8 received an oil change and a tune-up performed in July of 2022. Power is sent to all four wheels via a column-shifted TCI StreetFighter four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Drivetrain equipment includes a shift kit, a 2,800-rpm stall converter, an NP241 transfer case, Dana 44 axles, Detroit Lockers, Superior heavy-duty axle shafts, and 3.73 gearing. A dyno test reportedly showed output to be 350 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Performance upgrades include the following:
- Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads with roller rocker arms
- Edelbrock Performer Air-Gap intake manifold
- Doug Thorley headers
- Holley 850-cfm carburetor
- MSD Pro-Billet distributor

To be smog exempt in CA from everything I’ve seen the vehicle needs to be a 1975 or older, so YES the truck would be smog exempt to my understanding but you could always check with your local DMV or DOL.
