Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1957 Dodge D100 underwent a frame-off restoration completed in 2015 that included the reportedly original 315ci V8 and LoadFlite three-speed automatic transmission being rebuilt and the installation of new brakes, brake lines, wiring, whitewall tires, and exhaust hardware. It comes equipped with fog lights, running boards, a step-side bed with a wood plank floor, and push-button transmission controls. Refinished in cream and light blue over a gray vinyl and cloth interior, this Dodge pickup is always garaged in Groton, CT, and comes with a clear Montana title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

As part of the restoration process, the exterior was refinished in the two-tone combination of cream for the front bumper, one-piece hood, and the top of the single cab, and light blue for the rest of the exterior. Features include fog lights, bright trim and badging, a driver-side mirror, black running boards, padded tailgate chains, and white "DODGE" lettering on the tailgate and taillights. The floor of the step-side bed is lined with wood planks and stainless steel dividers. The seller has posted an exterior walk-around video below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

This truck rolls on light blue steel wheels with bright center caps and trim rings, and whitewall tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The bench seat has been reupholstered in gray vinyl and cloth. Surroundings include cream sheet metal, gray vinyl door panel inserts, a gray headliner with matching sun visors, a black footwell covering, and metallic dashboard accents. The cabin is equipped with vent windows, manual windows, a push-button transmission shifter, and a dome light.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

Vehicle information is displayed on a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, amps, and fuel level. The five-digit analog odometer shows 5,600 miles, all of which have been added since the restoration. Actual chassis mileage is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

During the restoration process, the reportedly original, strong-running 315ci V8 and rare-to-trucks push-button LoadFlite three-speed automatic transmission were rebuilt. Photos of the carbureted engine and other parts of the vehicle being restored are available in the gallery to the right. Three of the videos below show the engine bay and the truck idling.

UNDERCARRIAGE

In addition to the wiring, the brakes, brake lines, and exhaust system were replaced during the restoration seven years ago.
