OVERVIEW
This 1996 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible has been driven 50K miles since new and draws power from a 4.0-liter inline-six paired with a ZF four-speed automatic transmission. Its cabin offers automatic climate control, woodgrain trim, and power-adjustable bucket seating. Finished in Carnival Red with a tan power-retractable top over a tan leather interior, this XJS is now offered with a convertible boot, a CARFAX report, and a California title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This grand-touring convertible is coated in Carnival Red and accented by a tan power-retractable top with a glass rear window. Exterior features include a chin spoiler, chrome trim and mirror caps, a trunk-mounted third brake lamp, and polished dual exhaust outlets.

Chrome 16-inch five-spoke wheels are wrapped in Remington Emerald LX tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The 2+2 tan leather interior is fitted with power-adjustable leather bucket seats up front and a two-seat bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, console, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include woodgrain trim, power windows, air conditioning, an analog clock, cruise control, an AM/FM/cassette audio system, and a carpeted trunk with a spare tire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the voltage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 50K miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The fuel-injected 4.0-liter inline-six was rated at 245 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted ZF four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
UNDERCARRIAGE

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report shows that a Junk title was issued in the state of Indiana in June 2021. The vehicle passed a California emissions inspection in 2021 and comes with an unbranded California title. The sale includes a convertible boot.
@philventura – I have a clean title from California. The carfax is in error but will not change it without a substantial charge. ...
Even though you have a California title, is it a clean title? Also, I am thinking that it was Indiana DMV changing as junk title, so if I purchase it, would it not be re-titled as junk? This is a major mistake, and I would think that DMV had to have solid evidence to title it as such. Thoughts?
