1971 CHEVROLET CAMARO Z/28

OVERVIEW

This 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 sport coupe is presented with a reportedly numbers-matching drivetrain, drawing power from a 350ci LT1 V8 paired with a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. It comes equipped with a center console, full gauges, a Sony audio system, and Strato bucket seats, while offering handling assisted by both power steering and power brakes. EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Camaro Z/28 rides on the General Motors F-body platform and was repainted in black with gold striping. The surrounding brightwork is corrosion-free per the selling dealer. Body features include a chin spoiler, color-keyed mirror caps, chrome rocker moldings, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Factory five-spoke 15-inch wheels with bowtie center caps are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cockpit is fitted with black vinyl high-back Strato bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, lap belts, center console, carpeting, and bowtie-branded floor mats. The Sony AM/FM/CD audio system is accompanied by an equalizer.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 150-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. Aftermarket gauges for the voltage and oil pressure have been installed. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 61K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION  

The reportedly numbers-matching 350ci LT1 V8 was rated at 330 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted numbers-matching TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE
