Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1973 Ford Bronco is powered by a 302ci Ford V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Features include power steering, power front disc brakes, Dana 44 axles, part-time four-wheel drive with manual locking front hubs, a swing-out spare tire carrier, and a JVC AM/FM/CD radio with Bluetooth. Refinished in red and silver over a black and red vinyl interior, this first-generation Bronco comes from the selling dealer with a clear Illinois title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The exterior of this Bronco was originally Mallard Green (color code V), but at one point was repainted red with a metallic silver hood stripe and a metallic silver removable roof. Features include chrome bumpers, a silver grille, side accent pinstriping, chrome mirror caps, a swing-out spare tire with a cover, and dual taillights. The selling dealer notes some nicks and chips in the paint. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of five-slot aluminum wheels with chrome center caps and manual locking front hubs is wrapped in Cooper Evolution M/T tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bucket seats and the rear seat are upholstered in red and black vinyl. Features include red carpeting with black carpeted floor mats, black vinyl door panels with manual windows, power steering, power brakes, a floor-mounted transfer case shifter, a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a red steel dashboard with a black top pad, a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, and rear subwoofers.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, alternator, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 50,899 miles, which the selling dealer believes to be accurate.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 302ci Ford V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Underhood features include electronic ignition, finned aluminum valve covers, and a low-profile air cleaner. The selling dealer notes that an oil change was completed one month ago. A video of the vehicle running can be seen below.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Bronco was factory-equipped with part-time four-wheel drive and solid Dana 44 axles. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. The selling dealer states that there is some rust on the frame rails. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be found in the carousel to the right.

@seller - the Ford brochure is correct - this Bronco has a Dana 44 front axle. The writeup states "solid Dana 44 axles". I was just posting that the write-up was incorrect. No slight intended to you, the truck, or the Ford Motor Company. My Bronco has a mish-mash of parts from various years of Broncos as well, in addition to a lot of parts from other vehicles - and I love it. Mine also has a few door gaps too!
