Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1969 Dodge Super Bee is powered by a rebuilt 383ci V8 backed by a rebuilt 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission, both of which are reported to be numbers-matching. Features include power steering, manual brakes and windows, a vinyl top, and Super Bee striping. Refinished in Sunfire Yellow over a black vinyl interior, this Super Bee is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a build sheet, documentation, receipts, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The exterior has been refinished in a Plymouth color known as Sunfire Yellow (Y2). Exterior features include chrome bumpers, a big-block hood, a remote driver-side mirror, a black vinyl top, wheel opening moldings, black Super Bee tail striping, a black taillight panel, and Super Bee emblems.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of Sunfire Yellow steel wheels with dog dish hub caps is wrapped in radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front and rear bench seats, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include black carpeting with black vinyl floor mats, black interior sheet metal, power steering, manual brakes, manual windows, a black dashboard with a black top pad, and a column-mounted automatic shifter. The selling dealer states that the headliner is free of rips or tears and the gauges and clock all work properly.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A gear selection indicator, 150-mph speedometer, clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. An 8K-rpm tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The odometer reads 9K miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a rebuilt 383ci V8 backed by a rebuilt 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. According to the selling dealer, both are numbers-matching and the transmission received a shift kit during the rebuild process  Underhood features include a body-color firewall and sheet metal; cast iron exhaust manifolds; an orange block, intake, heads, and valve covers; and a black air cleaner.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Super Bee was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear axle. Dual exhaust outlets exit at the rear. Braking is provided by manual drums. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be seen in the carousel to the right.

@jcsroadking – Chambers. I owned a 69 Super Bee with a 440 6 pack. Mine never had a b- pillar. I see a few things that are not familiar to me. My question is did these come with a b-pillar? ...

Yep, the WM21 VIN indicates its a 2 door sedan (post car). If it was a WM23 that would be for a 2 door hardtop with no post
