Vehicle Story

This 1957 Dodge Custom Sierra wagon is finished in two-tone Sunfire yellow and Glacier White over a matching yellow and white interior. Power is provided by a 325ci HEMI V8 paired to a 3-speed Torqueflite transmission with a push-button selector. Features include power steering & brakes, electric rear window, aftermarket A/C, modern radio, and a roof rack. The seller acquired the car in 2017 out of Minnesota and relocated it to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, where it currently resides. This 1957 Dodge Custom Sierra Wagon is now offered for sale with the roof-mounted surfboard included and sold on a clean Arkansas title in the seller's name.

The body is finished in a factory combination of Sunfire Yellow with Glacier white. As part of the "Forward Look" design series by Virgil Exner, the car features forward swept fenders, tailgate, and tail fins. Chrome trim is featured throughout the car, including the multi-piece wrap-around bumpers. Custom red pinstriping is featured on the rear quarter panels, while a chrome and wood luggage rack is mounted on the roof.

The car rides on factory steel wheels with polished hubcaps wrapped in wide whitewall tires. Braking is provided by manual drums all around, and the suspension features a front sway bar.

The interior is upholstered in a two-tone black and yellow combination, featuring white bench seats with yellow inserts and matching door panels. Lap belts have been added to both bench seats for safety, and a custom console is mounted on the floor, housing two cup holders and the aftermarket radio. An under-dash air conditioning unit has been installed, while a spare tire and jack are stored in the rear compartment. The car retains the original two-spoke steering wheel with chrome horn ring and center section.

Instrumentation includes a 120mph horizontal speedometer along with gauges for fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. A push-button selector for the Torqueflite transmission is located to the left of the steering column, while accessory switches run along the bottom of the dash.

Under the hood sits a 325ci HEMI V8 with dual four-barrel carburetors, with chrome valve covers, alternator, and air cleaners. The firewall is finished in white to match the body, while the inner fenders are finished in satin black.

AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 11/20/20 8:45AM MST: The engine displacement has been corrected to 325ci from 354ci that was listed initially.

Additional pictures of the underside are available in the gallery.

The roof-mounted surfboard is included in the sale.

@abergstrom – Can you list the reburishments, if any, that have been completed on the vehicle? Thanks ...

We bought this car at auction a few years ago, the restoration had been done when we got it. Nothing has been done since to the car. The car runs drives and starts as it should. All the gauges work, the AC has been charged and is ready to go, even the electric is rear window works as it should. I tried to get some really good pictures so that you could see the nice interior as well as all angles of the outside of the car and the engine. There is a little pitting on the chrome on the tail fins
