OVERVIEW
This 1955 Chrysler C-300 two-door hardtop was the recipient of a frame-off restoration and is powered by a rebuilt 331ci Hemi V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes wire wheels on new Coker whitewall tires, chrome brightwork, and newer upholstery. Finished in Tango Red over a tan leather interior, this C-300 is now offered by the selling dealer with more than $90,000 in receipts, a brochure, a service manual, uninstalled spare parts, a diecast model car, and a Georgia title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This first-year C-300 was previously one-family-owned long-term and received a fresh coat of Tango Red as part of a frame-off restoration. The refurbishment process included repairs to the rocker panels and the replacement of the steel in the trunk floor. Exterior features include a split egg-crate grille, chrome brightwork, and dual exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes that there is some pitting on the emblems.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome 15-inch wire wheels with knock-off spinner hubcaps are wrapped in new Coker whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is trimmed with dual tan leather benches, matching door panels and headliner, and a contrasting black dash, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include an analog clock and a push-button Town and Country radio that needs servicing.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Due to an undiagnosed electrical issue, the gauges are not currently working, but the available readouts include a 150-mph speedometer along with gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 17K miles, which the selling dealer states is accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The rebuilt and reportedly numbers-matching 331ci FirePower Hemi V8 uses a dual four-barrel carburetor setup, a race-profiled camshaft, and solid valve lifters. It was rated at 300 horsepower and received a recent tune-up, carburetor and ignition work, a new wiring harness, and an oil change. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a dash-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Handling is assisted by power steering. The suspension uses an independent front design and a live rear axle. An alignment was recently performed.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes more than $90,000 in receipts, a brochure, a service manual, a diecast model car, and uninstalled spare parts, which can be seen in the gallery to the right. The selling dealer has provided cold-start, drive-by, and other videos below.

@F_Tundra – Sure would like some undercarriage pics. Any blistering in the paint? ...
Thank you for the question , No blistering, the shop where it is stored lift is occupied so all I have some dusty pics he took laying on the ground before the new tires came in regards, Pete Musclecarjr
I love the 150 mph speedometer. Let’s call it ‘aspirational’.
