OVERVIEW
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO tribute is the product of a multi-year restoration and derives power from a 427ci big-block V8 backed by a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. The blueprinted engine has accrued fewer than 40 break-in miles since the overhaul. Performance upgrades include aluminum heads and a Positraction rear end. Finished in Daytona Yellow over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Camaro is now offered with a clear Georgia title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Camaro hardtop is themed after the specialty Central Office Production Order (COPO) models and was repainted in Daytona Yellow as part of a multi-year restoration. Features include chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, rocker moldings, and a dual-exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Color-matched steel 15-inch wheels with dog dish center caps are wrapped in Goodyear raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket front and bench rear seating matched to the door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting. Amenities include lap belts with period-correct date codes, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, floor mats, and a vinyl trunk mat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 29,299 miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The big-block 427ci V8 was rated at 450 horsepower and was blueprinted and assembled to General Motors L88 factory specifications by a specialty machine shop only 37 miles ago. It uses a 12:1 compression ratio with a four-bolt-main block. Internals include a forged cross-drilled crankshaft and L88-specification rods, aluminum heads, camshaft, intake, and carburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 3.73:1 gearing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Steering and braking are power-assisted. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.

@MongoMania – So, it says “This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO tribute is the product of a multi-year restoration…”, yet there’s paint overspray (A LOT of it) on the passenger door sill and rocker cover plate and kick panel? Tribute or not, this obvious gaffe would have me question the quality of things I couldn’t see. ...
I can assure you that there is no over spray currently present in the areas you’ve mentioned. Serious buyers should bid with ABSOLUTE confidence. The new owner will NOT be disappointed.
