OVERVIEW
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air received a comprehensive restoration 10 years ago and is powered by a reportedly numbers-matching 283ci small-block V8 connected to a four-barrel carburetor and an upgraded 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a tilt steering column, power disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, and manual windows. Finished in Evening Orchid over a black and silver Ultraleather interior, this Bel Air is available now and comes from the selling dealer with the Goodguys magazine the car was featured in, a brochure, an accessories installation manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
During the restoration process, the body was sprayed in Evening Orchid with purple and pink graphics. Features include re-chromed bumpers, a chrome grille with a custom turn signal bar, a gold Chevrolet hood "V" and emblems, a fender-mounted antenna, Bel Air side trim and inserts, a trunk-mounted license plate, and a gold "V" trunk handle. The selling dealer states that the taillights have been upgraded to LEDs.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of polished aluminum 17-inch Budnick wheels is wrapped in 235/45 front and 255/50 rear tires.
INTERIOR - FEATURES
The front bench seat, matching rear seat, and door panels are upholstered in black Ultraleather with silver pleated inserts and Evening Orchid piping. Features include black wool carpeting, manual windows, gloss black interior trim, a tilt steering column, a billet aluminum Budnick steering wheel, power steering and brakes, a custom wiring harness, Vintage Air climate controls, and a RetroSound AM/FM stereo with hidden speakers. The trunk has matching upholstery and carpeting.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer with an integrated 7K-rpm tachometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The digital odometer reads 11K miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a reportedly numbers-matching 283ci small-block V8 and backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include a four-barrel carburetor, World Products cylinder heads, chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds, a high-torque starter, a high-volume fuel pump, custom-fabricated fuel and brake lines, and an MSD electronic distributor and ignition.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Bel Air was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Suspension upgrades include a power rack-and-pinion steering assembly, a front sway bar, a Moser nine-inch Ford solid rear drive axle with a rear sway bar, front and rear KYB shock absorbers, a custom drive shaft, and a custom gas tank. Dual exhaust outlets exit at the rear. Braking is provided by power discs. Additional photos of the undercarriage can be found in the carousel to the right.

Drive video has been posted in the listing above. Be sure to watch... excellent sound, great handling but still rides smooth and great brakes. Some of the exterior video shots really show off the beauty and depth of the paint in the sun. And remember, the rattling is from the license plate frame!
Good morning all!. As we wind down the auction, please reach out with any questions about the 57. It is a great build that needs nothing but a driver. I just recorded a drive video yesterday and it should be added soon. In case it hasn't posted, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbVYoW6FO20 Please not that the rattle sound that you hear in the exterior sound clip is the license plate vibrating against the frame.
