OVERVIEW
This 1965 Plymouth Barracuda two-door fastback retains its reportedly numbers-matching 273ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. It features a radio, whitewall tires, bucket seats, and bright trim. Finished in red with white accent striping over a red vinyl interior, this first-generation Barracuda is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Oregon title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This 1965 Barracuda rides on Chrysler’s A-body platform and has a rust-free exterior with no known body or paintwork history per the selling dealer. The red paint is offset by white striping down the middle. Additional exterior features include a split-section grille, chrome brightwork, and wraparound rear glass. The selling dealer notes that there are two small scuffs and a small dent on the hood. They have provided an exterior walkaround video below.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Factory 13-inch wheels are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The all-red interior is fitted with vinyl low-back bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. The dash is trimmed with bright accents. Equipment includes floor mats and a push-button radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and alternator. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 17K miles, which the selling dealer states are an accurate figure.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The reportedly numbers-matching 273ci V8 uses a carburetor and was rated at 180 horsepower when new. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
