OVERVIEW
This 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe DeVille is a two-door hardtop powered by a 331ci overhead-valve V8 mated to a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. It features brightwork, rear fender skirts, and whitewall tires. Finished in ivory over an ivory vinyl and brown cloth interior, this Coupe DeVille is now offered on behalf of the estate with a clear Florida title.
EXTERIOR - FEATURES
This Series 62 Coupe DeVille was built on the General Motors C-body platform. It features a rust-free ivory exterior, chrome brightwork, dual side mirrors, a two-piece windshield, rear fender skirts, and reverse lights.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel wheels with polished covers and Cadillac crests are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with front and rear ivory vinyl and brown cloth bench seats, coordinating door panels, and complementary tan carpeting. Amenities include a push-button radio, a clock, aluminum door sill plates, and a glove compartment.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 48K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 331ci overhead-valve V8 was rated at 160 horsepower and 312 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission.
