OVERVIEW
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been with its second owner for 41 years and comes equipped with a newer top, Hankook whitewall tires, a Bluetooth audio system, new Vintage Air air conditioning, and a Hurst shifter. It is powered by a reportedly numbers-matching rebuilt and recently serviced 327ci Turbo Fire V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Refinished in red with a black retractable top over a black vinyl interior, this C2 Corvette is now offered with the uninstalled original radio and a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This C2 Corvette convertible was acquired by the seller from its original owner in 1981 and was refurbished and repainted red within the last two years. The refurbishment process included the installation of a newer black retractable soft top, a rebuild of the retractable headlight motors, and the replacement of the exterior weather stripping. Exterior features include vented front fenders, a driver-side mirror, side-exit exhaust pipes, chrome brightwork, and an antenna. The seller notes that the hood latch and the driver-side door mechanism need adjusting.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel 15-inch wheels with full covers are wrapped in Hankook Optimo whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats, matched to the door panels and dash. Amenities include a newly installed Vintage Air air conditioning system, a Hurst shifter, a clock, and a newer Bluetooth audio system.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation was recently refurbished and includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 8,867 miles, which the seller states equate to 108,867 actual miles.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The reportedly numbers-matching 327ci Turbo Fire V8 has been rebuilt and was recently serviced, according to the seller. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The brake master cylinder and brake lines were replaced within the last two years. The suspension is a four-wheel independent setup.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes the uninstalled original radio.
