1968 Chevrolet Camaro

OVERVIEW

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a 350ci V8 engine backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. EXTERIOR - FEATURES

Originally finished in Ash Gold with black striping, the exterior was repainted in red with black stripes and comes equipped with chrome bumpers, a black front spoiler, and a cowl-induction hood. Additional features include wheel opening moldings, dual mirrors, and a rear spoiler. The seller states that the passenger-side mirror glass needs to be replaced.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of polished aluminum 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are wrapped in 215/65 front and 215/70 rear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The front bucket seats, rear seat, rear trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include black carpeting, Camaro-branded black carpeted floor mats, a black center console with a horseshoe-style automatic shifter, a black steel dashboard with a black top pad, and a three-spoke billet steering wheel. Additional features include Vintage Air climate controls, power steering, power brakes, manual windows, and a day/night rearview mirror. The carpeted trunk contains a tire iron and a spare American Racing Torq Thrust wheel with a Cooper tire. The seller states that the speakers and stereo need to be replaced. In addition, the air conditioning needs to be serviced and adjusted due to intermittent operation.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and an aftermarket Bosch 8K-rpm tachometer are mounted ahead of the driver. The Rally gauge pack behind the shifter includes readouts for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit analog odometer reads 15,581 miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350ci V8 engine backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Underhood features include a smooth body-color firewall, black cast aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake, throttle-body fuel injection, a polished aluminum air cleaner, and a polished air conditioning compressor. As the receipts in  the gallery show, factory-style exhaust manifolds and a new oil pan were installed in 2020.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Camaro is equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. Dual exhaust outlets exit at the rear.
