Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This one-family-owned 1974 Chevrolet Nova compact sedan is powered by a 250ci inline-six paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes chrome brightwork, power steering, an AM radio, and a newer exhaust system. Refinished in black over a tan checkered cloth interior, this third-generation Nova is now offered by the selling dealer with uninstalled spare parts and a clear Illinois title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This Nova sedan was reportedly owned long-term by a single family and has been recoated in black with red accent pinstriping. Exterior features include chrome brightwork, an egg-crate grille, and a driver-side mirror.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Color-matched 14-inch steel wheels with Chevrolet-branded dog dish hubcaps are wrapped in newer all-season tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior is furnished with tan cloth checkered bench seats (code 764) both front and rear, ivory and off-white vinyl door panels, and a contrasting black dashboard and black carpeting. Amenities include headrests, lap belts, aluminum door sill plates, a rear defogger, two-speed wipers, an AM push-button radio, and a spare tire with jack equipment. The selling dealer notes some wear on the driver-side seating area as shown in the photos to the right.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Vehicle information is presented via a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 38K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 250ci inline-six is connected to a newer exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a column-shifted two-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Steering is power-assisted.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The selling dealer has posted a video below that shows the exterior and engine bay in greater detail while the engine idles. Uninstalled parts, including brake drums and a grille, will come with the vehicle.

This is a very solid and straight Nova. The paint is nearly perfect! Buy with confidence. I've added undercarriage photos for you to review.
