OVERVIEW
This 1979 Cadillac Sedan De Ville d'Elegance was reportedly converted into a wagon by R.S. Harper Custom Coachbuilders and refurbished in 2015. It is powered by a 425ci V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include air conditioning, a tilt steering column, and a Pioneer AM/FM stereo. Power features include the back and side windows, locks, brakes, and antenna. Finished in cream and equipped with a dark brown padded vinyl top over a maroon leather interior, this Cadillac wagon conversion is available now and comes with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the refurbishment, the exterior received rust repair and a refinish in cream. Features include chrome bumpers, a custom hood ornament, a power antenna, dual mirrors, wheel opening and rocker moldings, custom mid-body trim, a station wagon rear roof and a tailgate, a dark brown padded top, a roof rack, and heated rear glass. Rusted areas are present and can be seen in the photos in the gallery on the right.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels is wrapped in 235/70 Vogue goldline whitewall radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The split front bench seat and the rear seat were reupholstered in maroon leather as part of the refurbishment process. Power features include the heated rear window glass, side windows, locks, brakes, and antenna. Features include a modified station wagon rear cargo area, a tilt steering column with an automatic transmission shifter, air conditioning, woodgrain trim, and a Pioneer AM/FM stereo. The seller states that the windshield wipers do not work.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
An 85-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are mounted ahead of the driver. The rolled-over odometer reads 122,550 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 425ci V8 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that the fluids were changed in the summer of 2022.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Cadillac was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Standard original braking equipment included power front discs and rear drums. A full-length exhaust system exits at the rear through a single outlet.
