1989 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SL

OVERVIEW

This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL convertible sends power from its 5.6-liter V8 through a four-speed automatic transmission to the rear 15-inch wheels. Features include a power antenna, power windows, power steering and brakes, a manual black soft top, and a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/cassette radio. Finished in Signal Red over a black leather interior, this 560SL is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a body-colored hardtop, tools for locking and unlocking the hardtop, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The Signal Red body is equipped with a manual black convertible top with plastic rear windows; a Signal Red hardtop and the tools for locking and unlocking it will be included with the car. Other features include fog lights, chrome bumpers with black bumper guards, and a chrome grille. The selling dealer states there are minor dings and spots where the paint was touched up.  

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

This 560SL sits on factory 15-inch Gullideckel wheels wrapped in Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The two-seater cockpit has a black leather interior accented with woodgrain trim and black carpeting. Other features include power steering and brakes, a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/cassette radio, a center armrest, and power windows. The selling dealer states the car is equipped with air conditioning but suggests having the compressor inspected.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 160-mph speedometer sits in the center of the instrument cluster, flanked by a 7K-rpm tachometer and a clock on the right. To the left is a round dial housing the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage readouts. An auxiliary temperature gauge is mounted in the center of the dashboard between two round HVAC vents. The analog odometer shows 35,765 miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

A 5.6-liter V8 sits at the front of the car. A four-speed automatic transmission delivers the engine’s output to the rear wheels. According to the CARFAX report, the car’s most recent service was in December 2022.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The CARFAX report starts in July 1992 and indicates an accident-free history in California, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Minnesota. According to the selling dealer, out-of-state buyers will be required to pay a $125 title procurement fee; Minnesota residents will be responsible for tax, license, and title procurement fees.
