OVERVIEW
This restored 1936 Chevrolet Master Deluxe two-door hot rod reportedly received $10,000 in repairs over the past two years. It draws power from a 350ci V8 mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a newer audio system, chrome wheels with newer Yokohama tires, a wood steering wheel, air conditioning, power brakes, and a side-exit exhaust system. Finished in metallic burgundy over an ivory vinyl interior, this Chevrolet is now offered with restoration documentation, the removed original headlights, an uninstalled new air conditioning compressor and serpentine belt, remote door poppers, and a clear Exceeds Mechanical Limits Texas title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free steel exterior was repainted metallic burgundy as part of a 10-year restoration process. Features include a hood ornament, fog lamps, chrome bumpers, dual mirrors, rubber running board steps, shaved door handles, and side-exit exhaust outlets. The doors can be opened with remote door poppers.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Chrome five-spoke wheels are wrapped in Yokohama tires that were installed in 2021.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with ivory vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, matched to the door panels and complemented by burgundy carpeting and a body-color dashboard. Amenities include a ceiling-mounted AM/FM/CD stereo system in a custom enclosure, power windows, a wood steering wheel, and a carpeted trunk. The seller notes that the air conditioning switch is not working and the rear passenger-side glass has a crack in it, which is visible in the gallery to the right.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
The Omega Kustom Instrument Co. gauges include an inoperative 140-mph speedometer, an 8K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. An auxiliary temperature gauge is mounted below the dash. A digital odometer tracks mileage. The true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The Chevrolet 350ci small-block V8 reportedly runs well and received work to the power steering pump, hoses, Edelbrock carburetor, battery, and starter within the last two years. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping is provided by power brakes. The brake master cylinder, booster, lines, pads, and rear calipers received service within the last two years.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes restoration photos and documentation, the removed original headlights, remote door poppers, and an uninstalled new air conditioning compressor and serpentine belt.
