OVERVIEW
This 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport hardtop sport coupe underwent a multi-year restoration process completed around 20005 and is powered by a numbers-matching Turbo Fire 409ci V8 paired with a four-speed close-ratio manual transmission and a Positraction rear end. It was originally delivered to Baldwin Auto Company in Baldwin, New York and comes equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors, power steering, tinted glass, and bumper guards. Finished in Ermine White over an Aqua vinyl interior, this third-generation Impala is now offered by the selling dealer with more than $80,000 in restoration receipts, an owner’s manual, a parts manual, a Muscle Machines magazine, a window sticker, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This Impala SS two-door hardtop was resprayed Ermine White as part of an $80,000+ multi-year restoration process completed in the mid-2000s. The refurbishment reportedly placed emphasis on preserving the car’s original equipment through NOS replacement parts wherever possible. Exterior features include quad headlights, replated chrome bumpers with guards, bodyside moldings, an antenna, and a dual exhaust system.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Cragar 14-inch five-spoke chrome wheels with knock-off caps are wrapped in 215/70 Roadhandler tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior is fitted with Aqua vinyl bucket seats up front, an Aqua rear bench, and matching materials for the door panels, padded dash, and carpeting. The dash is trimmed with engine-turned aluminum. Amenities include lap belts, floor mats, a center console with SS badging, a clock, a no-glare mirror, tinted glass, a tilt steering column, a Delco push-button radio, and a trunk-mounted spare tire.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a sweeping 120-mph speedometer, a column-mounted 7K-rpm tachometer, and a fuel level gauge. Three aftermarket Sunpro gauges are mounted below the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 7,785 miles. The true mileage is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The numbers-matching Turbo Fire 409ci V8 is fed by dual four-barrel carburetors. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end with 4.11 gearing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Steering is power-assisted.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The sale includes over $80,000 in restoration receipts, an owner’s manual, a parts manual, a Muscle Machines magazine, and a window sticker showing a $4,020 total retail price.

@LaSorsa – Does the paint finish show any degree of cracking, bubbles or blemishes not mentioned in the description? If so, please describe where and how much. ...
Hello LaSorsa, The paint and finish on this Impala are in great condition. Those of you that understand paint, body, and workmanship quality will understand when I say,, "This car could have been solid black and shown indoors under light" Though I would never say anything is perfect due to those that will condemn a car over a hairline scratch or stone chip. Obviously not new but very , very good quality finish and overall a very, very nice car. Thank you for inquiring
